I’m gunna try to add blogging back into my daily ritual.  Just so you all know.

If you were waiting, I wont have an Update for at least a week.  I’m gunna be in chicago visiting family.

Total Drama Island.  All the jokes and the plotline have been culurally irrelevent for about five years now, yet I still enjoy the show and it entertains me.  The jokes are stupid, the plot is lame, yet the show manages to entertain me.  Darn Canadians.

Here I am at 8:37 in the morning, blogging, outside, in a hammoc.  It is at this time I realize how much i despise sleeping, or rather, the time right before you sleep where you can’t help it and you brain goes into overdrive.  That, and if there is a grain of sand that was bothering you before, i seems to come back ten fold in iritation, keeping you up hours past when you wanted to sleep.  Not a very pleasent time.

I’ve noticed in this time there is the distinct ability to say things that you don’t want to say, and so it shoul all be approached with caution.  Not mch helps this state of mind like something to drink, as long as its non cafinated.

Also, I realy should somehow link a post to my blog title, or at least refer it.  Well, when you read this, its proably so <insert adjictive here> that your expelling something like laughter.  Yeah, it needs work.  I’ll get there.

So I was watching the film again today and was wondering, why do they leave their shose on?

So I went and saw this movie the other day.  I have to say, I like it.  I can’t call it the greatist movie of the year, but it was still good.  And for what the other sites have been saying, that it didn’t feel like an episode of “The X Files,” I disagree.  Its no secret that this film isnt about alein abductions and cults, but it still has that classic X Files episode feel.  And thats what the film is.  A long episode.  The fact that the movie deals with “closer to home” issues, doesnt mean it doesnt feel like the out-there comspiricy is gone.  The tracest of “true” paranomal also are present, this also keeps the feel of the film at an apopreate level.  I din’t want to give to mch away, so I wont, I’m just gunna say that if your a fan of the X Files, this is definatly a good move to see, and even if you are not, the only thing you miss out on are some of the “fan service” jokes.  Its still accesable given that all the characters are re-introduced and they don’t play off the main plot line that the saries carried.  All in all, ee this film.

Yeah, it has.  A long while.  Well, I’m gunna try to update every so often.  Hopefully daily, if not more.  If anything, just post cool crap that I find.  Well, looking forword to some more clicks.

I’ll just use the transcript for my review that I sent into The Tactical Gaming Podcast

Conflict: Denied Ops is a First person shooter developed by Pivotal Games and Published by Edios Interactive.  Its set to be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.  The Game is rated “M.”  If you’ve played any of the four previous games in the conflict series, you will notice an immediate difference, namely the drop from four player co-op, down to two players.   While this makes it simpler for the person playing by themselves, it makes for a much less dynamic multi-player experience.  Now it’s less bothersome to work together, making it a much easier game.  And that isn’t necessarily a good thing.  The game, as far as the demo is concerned is that a dictator is opposed to the U.S. Troops occupying Venezuela and threatens to nuke his own people to rid them of the U.S. forces.  But first he sizes control of a petrol plant, where you and your partner have to get to . But to get there you must make your way through a monastery, steal some information, and then blow something up.  And that’s the demo mission.  And that mission is very linear.  You really only have one door to go in, and you follow hallways and make this big “u” shape to get to the end.

Graphically, the game is up to par, but its not all that good looking.  Also, some of the effects it uses get annoying.  Like when weapons are being switched or reloaded, everything that’s more than a foot away from the player become blurry and out of focus, but when the action is complete, everything instantaneously snaps back in focus.  There are also a few clipping and shadow issues that pop up, but those exist in most any game.

The controls on the other hand, feel very clunky.   In order to use cover you stand by the object and you can lean left and right with the d-pad or you can look over the object by pressing up on the d-pad.  If you press down, you stop, stand up, and take about a second to flip you night vision on or off, and that can lead to a very undesirable circumstance.  The bob in the camera is slightly annoying and the guns just plain don’t feel right.  The two that you get to use in the mission.

They call this game a tactical shooter, but as far as I can tell, for them it just means they hide the health bar.  The previous installments in the series were much more tactical and required more co-operation to be successful.

The game also has adversarial matches, but the demo won’t let you try.

I would have to say this game is worth a rent.  If you’re a fan of the conflict series (like I was somewhat) you’ll probably be disappointed.  The game is set to be shipped February 12^th.
